Open House New York tours "Tech Time Machine"

February 20, 2020

Jeanette May’s Lightbox installation, “Tech Time Machine” at the 42nd St/Bryant Park subway station, is included in the Open House New York tour of MTA Arts & Design pubic art. The tour is being held on March 3, 2020 during Armory Arts Week. The tour is sold out, but there is a waitlist. May’s Lightbox installation can be seen any day throughout the year 2020 for the cost of a subway ride.

In addition, the Ross Art Museum at Ohio Wesleyan University has acquired Tech Vanitas: Electric Fireflies, 2018.

Tech Vanitas: Electric Fireflies

My public art installation in the New York City subway system is discussed in a recent article on Side of Culture. In 2020, several images from my series “Tech Vanitas” were installed in light boxes through the MTA Arts & Design Lightbox project.
