Curious Devices: Electric Clock

Become an arts patron! Support Jeanette May Photography.

April 25, 2022

My fiscal sponsor, Fractured Atlas, is celebrating the 20-year anniversary of their fiscal sponsorship program by distributing $1,000 to 20 different projects. Every donation that you give toward my sponsored project is one chance that I have to receive this $1,000, so I’m asking for your support! From May 2 - May 8 (you can still make donations after these dates) a donation of any amount not only helps support my work, it also gives me a chance to receive an additional significant amount of financial support.

As you may know, artist studio space in New York City is necessary and expensive. Printing, mounting, and framing a large photograph also costs hundreds of dollars. Of course, I prefer earning my income through the sale of my artwork. Please contact me if you would like to discuss purchasing a photograph. If your walls are full and you would still like to help, you may donate to my fiscally sponsored project, Jeanette May Photography, by clicking this link: https://fundraising.fracturedatlas.org/jeanette-may-photography

Tech Vanitas: Dot Matrix

I'm excited to announce that Tech Vanitas: Dot Matrix, 2018 has been added to the art collections of the Eli & Edythe Broad Art Museum at Michigan State University, East Lansing, MI and the Mattatuck Museum in Waterbury, Connecticut.

In addition, the Ross Art Museum at Ohio Wesleyan University has acquired Tech Vanitas: Electric Fireflies, 2018.

Tech Vanitas: Electric Fireflies

My public art installation in the New York City subway system is discussed in a recent article on Side of Culture. In 2020, several images from my series “Tech Vanitas” were installed in light boxes through the MTA Arts & Design Lightbox project.
